Baye Harrell wears many hats including playwright, video editor, educator, and actor. He is most commonly known as one-half of the DC hip-hop duo Hueman Prophets. He wrote, co-directed, and acted in “Read: White and Blue” which was produced by the Hip-Hop Theater Festival in 2005 and 2007. He has also appeared in such roles as Poet in “Prison Poetry”, “The Tempest”, “Antigone”, and the last season of HBO’s “The Wire”. He is currently developing several scripts including a radio drama and working with the youth of the Washington Enrichment Cultural Arts Network.
