Ashley Hammond is excited to be making her Capital Fringe Festival debut. She began her acting career many years ago with various regional and children’s theatres, where she performed and taught all over the eastern part of the country. She landed in the DC area after acting and teaching for the Virginia Stage Company as a part of the Emerging Artists Ensemble. Since then she has been teaching and acting in the area. Her favorite roles include Christmas Past in “A Christmas Carol” (Virginia Stage Company), Catherine in “Robin Hood” ( Lexington Shakespeare Festival), Catherine in “Proof” (Lexington Studio) and the Empress in “The Emperor’s New Clothes” (Theatre IV). She currently teaches acting to all ages for The Educational Theatre Company, John Robert Powers, The Little Theatre of Alexandria, Bardsplay, Mount Vernon Community Children’s Theatre, and Interact.
